Don’t Do These 4 Things When Planning Your Wedding
As a wedding DJ with many years of experience, I have worked countless weddings and interacted with dozens of other service providers. Throughout this time I’ve seen amazing weddings, and others that could have went better, if they had avoided these mistakes. Weddings can be complex events, and it's important to work with vendors and service providers who are reputable, and understand the ins and outs of the process. Want your big day to go off without a hitch? Here are 4 things to avoid when planning your wedding:
Don't book vendors without doing research first. Before signing any contracts, make sure you do your due diligence by reading reviews, asking for references, and researching the vendor's work. Google reviews may not tell you everything you need to know, so if possible, talk to other couples who have worked with the vendor to get a sense of their experience. Also, some vendors may require a partial or full deposit, or have a cancellation policy, so do make sure you understand the terms before you book them.
Don't wait until the last minute to book vendors. Many vendors book up quickly, especially during peak wedding season. To ensure you get the vendors you want, start researching and booking as early as possible.
Don't assume that the most expensive vendors are the best. While price can be an indicator of quality, it's not always the case. Some vendors may charge more due to their reputation or the location of their business, but that doesn't always mean they're the best fit for you.
Don't overlook the importance of communication. When working with vendors, it's important to have clear and open communication. Make sure they understand your expectations and that you understand their services and policies.
